Internet has made some tremendous changes in our society since it's development. As per the Dailymail , The average person spends 8 hours and 41 mins on electronic devices which is 20 minutes more than sleeping .
So most of us spend hours on social media website like Facebook , Instagram , Twitter Messenger etc.
As we spend a huge amount of the time in internet so why not use it productively . Internet is the platform where anyone can learn anything if you are free . It provides you the opportunity to unleash your creativity. As per the JK Rowling ," Internet has been the boon and curse to the teenagers ". So it is in your hand how you are using internet.
Here are some tips on using the internet productively :
1. Search for the information
On any topic of your interest starting Love and Date to quantum physics you can get every information on internet. You need to identify what you want. Whether, it can be some career oriented information to some general topics just keep yourself . You can use the search engines like Google, Bing. For researchers, Even the search engines like Core ,Wolframalpha .etc can come handy.
2. Get updated
Living in a dynamic world it is changing continuously so we have to have the sufficient information to adapt to this changing environment . We can get updated to the latest news on various fields like finance , tech etc. You can subscribe to various News portals like CNN ,BBC, Business Insider,The Huffigntionpost etc and the new would be delivered directly to the mailbox or you can bookmark these sites in your web browser so that you can visits the site whenever you need
3. Place to Learn
This is the age where anybody can learn anything the only thing you require is the passion to learn
There are thousand websites to learn some of them are Khan Academy, Udemy, EDX etc these are only the few names but there are many more to explore . I am a Non-IT student but i learned most of thing about the web development through the website called W3School . So, Internet is the great place to learn about new things.
4. Put your creative queries on Internet
As per the human nature we have a lot of queries and we don't know how to get query satisfied . We can use the websites like Quora , YahooAnswers etc. Besides that if you are a tech user get websites like Stackoverflow , reddit , Codeproject etc solve your tech queries.
5. Show the Creativty
Internet has been a medium where anyone can unleash their creativity to get attention form a huge group of people . For a instance If you can make people laugh ,express your ideas , motivate people you can just make a video and upload it in the youtube or make a blog about . So it provide the opportunity to express yourself.
Besides that you can join various professional networking sites like linkedin etc which can help to get the carrer related information .
